We are very excited to share that we will be growing our family through the miracle of adoption once again. Unfortunately adoption is a long and unpredictable process. It will likely be 6-8 months before we are able to bring Hadley home. One of the nice things about adopting from Taiwan is that we are able to visit our baby as often as we like. We are planning go this summer for a week or so. We aren’t sure of the timing yet as we want to visit fairly close to finalization (as it will make it a little easier to leave her knowing that we will be able to bring her back soon). Hadley will be able to stay with us the entire time during our visit.
We are now beginning phase 2 of "the paper chase". We must sign a whole book of papers, get them notarized, get them authenticated by the Secretary of State, and send them to the Taiwan Embassy to be legalized. Then they will go back to our agency and eventually back to Taiwan. We are rushing around today to get all that completed so that it will be done before we go out of town on Wednesday for a spring break trip.
We are all so excited. Both Aiden and Liam pray for Hadley every night before bed. While the wait will be long and difficult, we have plenty to keep us busy (with two awnry boys). Please pray for a speedy process and that we will be united with our daughter very soon!
